Bulletin 76 has been mailed!
Burlington Bulletin No. 76 is an 84-page issue that explores a small group of locomotives that became known as the Greyhounds, due to the multiple speed records broken. The story begins with the locomotive Columbia, a Baldwin exhibition engine, named such because it was displayed at Chicago's Columbian Exposition, that enticed the Burlington to have an experimental locomotive built, which became famous as the 590. BRHS member and former Burlington employee, William (Bill) Franckey, has assembled a unique collection of newspaper articles from that time period, as well as many photographs of the 590 and the rest of locomotives called the Greyhounds.
