Burlington Bulletin No. 74 was mailed from Pontiac, Illinois, on January 10, 2025.  Burlington Bulletin No. 74 is a 52-page issue containing five articles covering 1897 to 1969. The articles are: "The Mayham Special," "Henry J. Mayham," " Safety Awards," "A Controversial Collision," and "My 1969 FW&D Cab Ride." The authors are Rupert Gamlen (articles 1-3), Jerry Pinkepank, and David Albright. "The Mayham Special" covers the 1897 Chicago to Denver record run for Henry Mayham over the Burlington traveling 1,025 miles in 1,047 minutes! "Safety Awards" covers awards received (and given) to (and by) the CB&Q. "A Controversial Collision" covers a 1952 accident at Chicago Union Station involving the CB&Q and PRR. The last article tells of the author's cab ride on the FW&D in 1969 between Hartley and Dalhart, Texas.
